 PORTUGUESE CUISINE

Portuguese cuisine being full-bodied, generous and filling is essentially natural with roots firmly based in home cooking and pure country dishes. There are no complicated techniques.  The small fiery chilly known as piri piri along with use of pepper, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, bell peppers, chilies, potatoes, kidney beans, tomatoes etc. is liberally used along with Olive Oil, Vinegar, and Wine as additions to add flavors. Garlic is part of almost all the dishes so also are herbs.We require a minimum of two bookings in order to conduct the course. If it is a single booking then the same will be conducted at an extra cost.

  • Pescada  a moda do Minho (Baked Fish with Potatoes)
  • Empade de Carne (Chicken baked in mashed potatoes)
  • Frango com cogumelos e tomates (Chicken with Dried Mushrooms and Tomato Sauce)
  • Pargo assada Lisboeta (Baked Fish with Tomatoes)
  • Frango com ceboladas (Chicken with Onions)
  • Linguado com salsa verde (Fish with Parsley Sauce)
  • Frango com ervilhas (Chicken with Peas)
  • Balchao de Peixe (Tangy  Red fish curry)

Duration: 6 days

Dishes taught: 5 recipes daily

Timings: 10 am to 2.30 pm 

Rates: Rs 12000/- per person for eight days course. Group bookings of 4 persons and above will be extended a 10% discount.
