Rita’s Gourmet has crafted out wonderful Comprehensive Cookery Workshops for travelers in Goa looking forward to learning to cook simple, quick and delicious delicacies right from sourcing the ingredients to enjoying the cooked dishesThese are fully hands-on cooking workshops and are conducted in the garden Gazebo surrounded by pottery, fruit bearing and palm trees and some fresh herbs and spice plants. The dishes taught includes different Curries, Chutneys & Pastes, Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes  & so also simple & classic Desserts. To add fun & color to the workshop is a visit to the Spice, Vegetable & Seafood Market where one gets the opportunity of seeing the lifestyle of an Indian / Goan Market.  Also, a visit to a Goan Handicraft shop if the guests so wish to avail of. The travelers can also look forward to some traditional and cultural exchanges apart from some culinary activity etc. These workshops can also be customized on the request of the guests on prior notice.


Indian Cuisine: Stuffed Parathas, Shahi Paneer, Methi Mutter Malai, Rajma Masala, Chole Masala, Butter Chicken, Roganjosh, Dal Makhani, Jodhpuri Pulao, Gajar Ka Halwa, Kheer, Phirni, Idli, Dosa, Mint and Coconut Chutney and much more…!

Goan Cuisine:  Xacuti, Cafreal, Balchao, Vindalho, Recheado, Caldin, Rissios, Xec-Xec, Croquettes, Khatkatem, Roast Chicken, Piri Piri, Xirem-Mirem,  Caldo Verde, Chops de Camarao, Chicken Cocktails, Fugath, Arroz Refagado, Seradurra, Creme Caramel, Bol Mimosa and more….!

NB: The class is conducted if we have two or more bookings for the day. However, we can customise the class for a single person on request with an extra cost.


9.30 am – Arrival & Welcome & Introduction to day’s programme.

9.30 am to 10.15 am – Preparation and relishing of ethnic breakfast dishes along with Masala Chai (Spiced flavour Tea), Cinnamon Coffee, Fruits, Juices and Soft Drinks. Learn to prepare Tea infused with flavorful Spices such as Cardamom, Star Aniseed, Cinnamon etc. and its medicinal value.

10.15 am to 11.30 am – Visit  Local Farmer’s Vegetable, Seafood, Spice market.

11.30 am to 2.30 pm – Return back to Rita’s Gourmet and enjoy refreshing Tender Coconut Water along with some quick traditional Snacks / Sweets. Introduction to different dry and fresh spices and ingredients. Get set for demo cum hands-on cooking in different delicacies planned for the day. Enjoy the aroma and flavours as you cook and savour the delicacies along with some cultural and traditional agrarian activities.

2.30 pm to 3.15 pm – Appetiser with sumptuous lunch.

3.15 pm to 3.25 pm – Clarification of doubts / Feedback
