Educational Goan Culinary Workshop

We offer a 2-hour Educational Goan Culinary Workshop designed for school students, college groups and hotel management graduates who wish to gain first-hand knowledge of authentic Goan cuisine.

The workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of traditional Goan cooking, including the use of local spices, ingredients and cooking techniques that define the region’s culinary heritage. In today’s rapidly evolving hospitality industry, preserving the authenticity of regional cuisine is essential, and this workshop aims to provide students with a strong foundation in these traditions.

Hosted at Rita’s Gourmet, the session combines culinary insights, demonstrations and interactive learning to help students understand the cultural and historical significance of Goan food.

The workshop can accommodate up to 35 participants and can also be customised to suit the requirements of schools, colleges or universities.

Learn about the origins and evolution of Goan cuisine and the cultural influences that have shaped its unique flavours.

• Spices & Ingredients of Goan Cuisine
An introduction to the essential spices, condiments and ingredients commonly used in traditional Goan cooking.

• Demonstration Cooking Session
A live demonstration on the preparation of classic Goan masalas and curries, including popular blends such as Cafreal, Recheado, Vindaloo and Balchão, along with their culinary applications in various Goan dishes.

• Recipe Handouts
Participants will receive hard copies of the recipes demonstrated during the workshop for future reference.

• Traditional Goan Lunch
Enjoy a delicious home-style Goan lunch featuring authentic local flavours.

• Certificate of Participation
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation in the Goan Culinary Workshop.
