Prawn Xacuti
WHAT WILL YOU COOK

INGREDIENTS: (Serves 4 persons)
200 grams Prawns
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Lime juice
2 Onions
1 Tomato
100 grams grated coconut
2 Dry Red Chilies
4 cloves
8 Black pepper corns
½ inch piece Cinnamon
1/8 seed nutmeg
½ Blade Mace
2 petals Star Anise
¼ tsp Cumin seeds
¼ tsp Poppy seeds
1 tsp Coriander seeds
100 ml water
300 ml chicken stock
6 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt to taste
ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT
- A bowl with prawns for Marination
- A big plate to house all the spices before roasting
- A shallow pan to roast the spices and coconut
- A Deep bottom pan to cook the Xacuti
- Mixer Grinder to grind the Masala
- 8 tsp and 4 tbsp
- 1 wooden spatula
- 1 Rubber spatula
- Gas stove or Induction for cooking
- A Jug with 2 Ltrs water
- A bowl with stock
- A plate/Bowl to keep the chopped onion and tomato
- 2 plates, 2 bowls chopping board and knife.
