VEGAN COOKING CLASS

With the changing environment there has been a vast shift towards going vegan and it is increased manifold. Many tourists have shown keen interest in learning to cook and enjoy a good vegan meal. We at Rita’s Gourmet Goa, strive to bring the best and the most authentic food to the guests visiting us.

We have carved a cooking class that caters to the need and interest of vegan guests with several variety of plant-based dishes.  You can train yourself in mastering the art of making some delicious starters and main course dishes with fresh herbs and vegetables.  So join in to a hands-on cooking class in vegan dishes. OPTION

As an option, since Rita’s Gourmet is just five minutes from the Dabolim International Airport, the Cookery Class Experience in Vegan dishes and Market Tour can also be taken on the day of departure from Goa if the flight departure is any time in late afternoon or evening. Mail us and we can assist and try to customize the class timings for you so that you are on time at the Airport.

ITINERARY

9.30 am to 10.00 am Arrival of the guests. Welcome with traditional Indian Breakfast & Beverages. Enjoy and be part of preparation of black masala chai using flavourful spices such as Cardamom, Ginger, Star Aniseed, Fennel Seeds, Pepper, Clove, Lemon Grass etc. 

10.00 am to 11.15 am: Visit the local farmer’s vegetable, fruit, spice market conducted by our tour guide. (The tour is conducted only if we have a group of 4 persons and above at an additional cost of 15%).

11.15 am to 11.30 am: Return back.  A  brief on spices & ingredients that would be used in the day’s Vegan Cuisine.

11.30 am to 1.45 pm: Demonstration & Participation Cookery session in five classic Vegan dishes.  This includes preparation of masalas, curries & chutneys.

1.45 pm to 2.15 pm: Lunch.

2.15 pm to 2.30 pm: Takeaway Rita’s Gourmet Apron and a Certificate of participation.

2.30 pm: Departure.

(Recipe Booklet / Ingredients / Mineral Water will be provided during the class. Clean Wash Room Facility available. Soft copy of the recipes along with pictures taken during the class will be e-mailed).

Note: The vegan dishes can be customised for the guests on advance notice.

Rates:  Rs 4250/- per person

The local farmer’s market tour is conducted only if we have a group of 4 persons and above at an additional cost of 15%).

The three hours evening classes does not include local farmer’s market tour and are conducted if there are minimum three bookings – Rates Rs 4250/- per person. For bookings less than three the rates are Rs 4950/- per person.

Group bookings of six and above: Discount offer of 7.5% per person
